The International Centre for Democratic Partnerships (ICDP) and Global Access Partners (GAP), with the support of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), held the Pacific Connect Ideas Exchange at NSW Parliament House on 18-19 September 2019.
The event was the culmination of ICPD’s activities over the previous twelve months in strengthening Australian and Pacific people-to-people links through a series of meetings, workshops and Dialogues held in the region under the banner of Pacific Connect.
Over three days, the event assembled a diverse an audience of 63 emerging and established leaders from Australia, PNG, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. Delegates made new ideas and connections by participating in engaging sessions such as entrepreneurial panel discussions, networking social events, in-country project pitch workshops, ‘shark tank’ project reviews and innovation hub visits.
