How we’re adapting to Covid-19
In light of the current travel and public gathering restrictions across the Pacific and Australia, the health and safety of our community, staff, clients and partners is our top priority. It is necessary to adopt appropriate precautions to protect our all of our Pacific Connect Community, which means we will be temporarily suspending non-essential domestic and international travel, and temporarily suspending our dialogues including the upcoming Solomon Islands dialogue. ICDP will work to increase our focus on the use of online technology and communication mechanisms to maintain discussions and activities across our growing network. This will include convening, where possible, existing dialogue groups online to re-invigorate discussions and connections.
Understanding the challenges of internet connectivity in the region, we are working hard to ensure that you will be able to participate in activities and access information via online mediums using conferencing software, our dedicated Slack channels, member-only website access, instant-messaging services, website, social media and email updates. We remain committed to ensuring our Pacific Connect Community and broader network continue to thrive during these unprecedented times.
We proudly claim a Pacific Connect Community of resilient and vibrant change-makers and are confident there will be many innovative ways to maintain the momentum over the coming months. The team at ICDP looks forward to staying in touch across our online channels and new platforms in due course and we welcome any thoughts you have in this regard. We will continue to keep you updated via our website and email, and will advise you as soon as we propose to resume normal operations.
Please stay connected with us as we work together to continue to develop opportunities for the future.
