Pacific Connect says goodbye to 2020 with Women in Business Dialogue

Just as the year started, the Pacific Connect program ends 2020 with a ‘Women in Business’ Network Dialogue. More than 70 established and emerging leaders will take part in the hybrid Dialogue either online or in one of seven Community Hubs across all Pacific Connect target countries. Our last event for the year is all about supporting women in business, with the theme ‘From Side Hustle to Sustainable Business – using technology to make your side hustle a success’.

With the aim of providing participants a welcoming environment to get tips on how to establish their own economically sustainable ventures, ICDP has put together an exciting half-day talanoa that blends engaging presentations with networking opportunities and storytelling to empower female entrepreneurs. The Virtual Dialogue will be facilitated by Community members Ms Olisana Mariner (Co-Founder, THE HUB, Samoa) and Dr Anna Blackman (Co-Founder, Talent Insight Solutions, Australia).

The presentations will be delivered by:

  • Ms Ginia Sialis, Founder, TAPIOCA DELIGHT (PNG)
  • Ms Manita Ray, Director & Principal Advisor, Capital Human (Australia)
  • Ms Zha Agabe-Granfar, Founder & Executive Director, VERGE (PNG – as well as a long-time Community member!)

On either side of the networking lunch, participants will be split into curated Breakout Rooms, during which delegates will have a unique chance to share stories and entrepreneurial experiences, as well as collaborate on potential business projects using the ‘Ask & Offer’ approach.

As a ‘thank you’ to all our wonderful family, a Community networking event will be held in the Pacific cities so that our Pacific delegates can come together and reflect, learn from and build long-term relationships with each other in seeing off this most unique and challenging year.

To keep track of the day’s proceedings, join us on our social media channels using the hashtags #DigitalPacific and #PacificConnect. It promises to be an exciting day and we can’t wait to see relationships strengthen and new initiatives arise!
