What’s on for the Pacific Connect Community (July-August)

We’re more than halfway through the year, and the Pacific Connect Program shows no signs of slowing down! There are plenty of Workshops, Dialogues and professional development courses open to members of the Pacific Connect Community.

Pacific Connect Dialogue

  • Fostering a Sustainable Music Industry (20 July) This dialogue will bring together a group of inspired thinkers from across industries through Talanoa style discussions to consider ‘how to support the development of a sustainable Pacific music industry in a new digital and streaming environment’.’

Pacific Connect Workshops

  • Successful Mentoring for Growth (Fiji only, 19 July – 11 Aug) Pacific Connect is partnering with Talent Insight Solutionsto deliver a Successful Mentoring for Growth Workshop which is designed to assist individuals wanting to work with a mentor to gain an understanding of mentoring, the benefits of mentoring and how to work with a mentor.

  • Effective Social Media (Port Moresby, 19 July – 11 Aug) Pacific Connect is partnering with Coconut Wireless to deliver an Effective Social Media Workshop which is aimed to improve participants online marketing skills and knowledge through weekly classes.

Pacific Tech Academy

  • Intro to Product Management Workshop (Solomon Islands, 14 July)

This course will be relevant for anyone with aspirations to help businesses and organisations develop and build digital products and undertake successful technology projects, as well as entrepreneurs planning to create their own technology startup. It will be helpful if you’ve got a background in information technology or business, but it is not required.

  • Digital Skills & Technology Careers Meetup (Solomon Islands, 21 July)

Any and all Solomon Islanders with an interest in digital skills development, technology careers, and information technology in general are welcome to attend and will find the event of interest. It’s free for everyone to attend..
