Pacific Hubs reflect on 2021

Pacific Hubs 2021 EOY celebrations

2021 has been an enormous year for our Pacific Hubs, which operate as pop-up hosting facilities in eight locations: Port Moresby, Lae, Honiara, Apia, Port Vila, Suva, Nadi-Lautoka and Nuku’alofa.

Our Hub Coordinators have put in incredible work this year in facilitating pop-up events for Pacific Connect Dialogues, Workshops, professional development courses, and networking events. You can find out more about your Hub Coordinators and the work they do here in this short video.

With border restrictions hampering face-to-face activities between Australians and Pacific Islanders, Pacific Hubs have become an integral part of the program, bringing together new and existing Pacific Connect Community members and building a patchwork of people from all sectors to engage in transformative talanoas. We look forward to an exciting 2022 programme, designed for, and by, the Pacific Connect Community.

The Hubs have recently held ‘end-of-year’ functions to say recognise achievements made over the past year and plan ahead for next year. You can see some photos of their events below.
