The Pacific Connect Program is ramping up its engagement with emerging leaders from Australian and throughout the Pacific over the coming months, with workshops, dialogues and professional development courses available to new and existing Program members.
‘Making Research Impactful’ Workshop
10am-12pm AEDT – 30 March 2021
ICDP is bringing together leading researchers and business leaders for a tailored discussion on the commercialisation of research. The aim of this workshop is to give participants information and tips on how to develop a research career, balance the pressure to publish with the opportunity to innovate and commercialise, and how to find industry partners. Pacific Entrepreneurs Making a Difference Dialogue
10am-12:15pm AEDT – 31 March 2021
Join us online or in our Pacific Hubs for a Talanoa style discussion. Come and hear from four inspiring Pacific entrepreneurs who will share their emergent business idea in a 10-minute quick-fire presentation and contribute to more action on the digitisation of projects in the Pacific to support local businesses. Mental health, technology & wellbeing Dialogue

Hear from four inspiring women who are passionate about mental health and wellbeing. We are bringing together Pacific Connect Community members and new faces from the Pacific and Australia to explore topics that will widely resonate. Pacific Tech Academy
The Pacific Tech Academy, an initiative implemented by ICDP and Common Code, starts 2021 with a free workshop on JavaScript programming. The first training session was held on Friday 19 March.
‘Mentoring for Growth’ in Samoa
ICDP has teamed up with Community members, Kylie Ellwood and Dr Anna Blackman of Talent Insight Solutions. to deliver a pilot mentoring development course in Samoa. The month-long program begins on Monday 22 March.
