Join us online on 26 September for a collaborative talanoa on the Blue Economy and opportunities it offers to the Pacific region in terms of economic growth, improved livelihoods and healthier ocean ecosystems.
The dialogue is open to all members of the ICDP Pacific Community with an interest in the Blue Economy – a framework that promotes sustainable use of oceans and inland water resources for social, economic and environmental progress.
We plan to have a broad-ranging discussion covering diverse perspectives – from policy, governance and legal issues to business, investment, technology and science.
The dialogue will be facilitated by ICDP Director Catherine Fritz-Kalish AM and feature Taholo Kami, a strategic advisor on oceans and Pacific Expert at the UNSW Global Ocean Accounts Partnership, along with a panel of Pacific contributors across various industry sectors.
The aim is to provide practical recommendations for the upcoming Green Rio conference in Brazil in late October, where Catherine will present your stories.
As the attention of global leaders this year turns to oceans, championed by Brazil’s G20 presidency, this is your opportunity to join the global conversation and send the message from the Pacific to the world.
Register here by Thursday, 19 September 2024 to confirm your attendance and receive a Zoom link.
