I think I’m far from unique in having had a personal and professional interest in working in the Pacific but lacking a mechanism or hook to get me there and to start applying myself. Encouraging and enabling the Australian private sector to do business in and with the Pacific has (and remains) an ongoing challenge.
Following in the footsteps of Pacific Connect’s Women in Business and Digital Delivery event, we’re coming back to Brisbane! This time, Australian and Pacific Islander entrepreneurs will discuss how digital technologies can enable women to become technology influencers.
As a mother of two boys (4 years old and 11 months old), it’s quite tough to juggle raising the kids and starting a business. I have days when I just feel like giving up, or days when I question myself if it’s really worth going through all the struggle. In a developing country like Papua New Guinea, there are many challenges that SME’s encounter. However, these challenges can be overcome with the right mindset and attitude.
The Pacific Connect Network Dialogue in Port Vila on 15-16 July will bring together current and emerging leaders from the Pacific and Australia to discuss how digital connectivity and emerging technologies can expand business opportunities and empower women in Vanuatu and the broader Pacific.
